What is Tutorpit.com ?
At Tutorpit.com, our primary effort has been to provide the largest possible forum for teachers and students. As a tutor your role is vital, you are the coach, consultant, the expert and sometimes the last resort. As a student your role is vital too, you are the pillar of the future society and mankind as a whole.  

How do I become a Gold Member?
To become a Gold member you're required to have a minimum amount in your account. This is the monthly fee for the Gold membership. If you have such amount of money you're to login and upgrade your account. Otherwise you need to deposit funds at first and then upgrade to gold membership.

How do I cancel my account?
For security measures you're to send us a message through our online support form and we will help you with this. But remember to make sure that if you have a negative account balance, you make a deposit to cover it.

How much will I have to pay Tutorpit.com?
It's free to join Tutorpit.com! We only charge a small commission. For regular projects that is closed Service Buyers (Students) will have to pay 10% or a $5 commission(whichever is greater) and Service Providers (Teachers) will have to pay 10% or $5(whichever is greater). A project can be "featured" for an optional fee of $25, paid by the Service Buyer (Students). If the project is featured there will be no other charges as with regular projects. As a Gold Member you don't pay commissions on completed projects.

How to signup?
To signup just use the signup link and provide you email address. Verify your email address and follow the simple steps provided on screen.

What is Gold membership?
To be in a Gold membership means to become a Gold member. Gold members are marked with special sign. Being Gold member gives you special privileges: you may pay only monthly fees ($20) and no commissions on the completed projects. That is good for both the service buyers and service providers. Service buyers could save money. As for service providers they will be able to bid lower. Gold members are more reliable because they have long time commitments with Tutorpit.com.

SERVICE BUYERS (STUDENTS)

How do I pick service provider for my project?
Login. Go to Buyer account. You will see your projects listed there. Click Pick Service Provider for the project you wish to start. All service providers will be listed on next page. Read instructions and select one.

How do I rate and write a review for a service provider?
After you have selected a service provider and the project is completed you will be able to do this by going to Buyer Activity. You will find available service providers to rate from there.

How does this work for Service Buyers?
It's simple. You register for an account and add your project. Service Providers will bid on your project. You pick the one you wish to use for the project. Please login to pick provider from the Buyer Activity area. You pay the Service Provider through Tutorpit.com at a time you both agree on in advance.

How much will you charge Service Buyers?
It's free to join Tutorpit.com! We only charge a small commission on closed regular projects. 10% or $5 (whichever is greater). Gold Members don't pay this commission. A project will be featured for a fee of $25. No other charges apply for featured projects.

Why is my account temporarily suspended?
The most common reason is that you have posted contact information on our site. That is not allowed. Contact us and we will work on making your account activated again.

SERVICE BUYER / PAYMENTS

Can I make a payment in advance?
It's stongly recommended not to pay in advance. If you decide to make payment before job or part of job is completed, you will be responsible for any loss of funds. There's a free escrow system on our site. You are encouraged to use the escrow system and release funds from the escrow when job is completed.

How do I cancel an escrow payment?
As a Buyer you can't cancel an escrow payment. If project is not successful you should ask your provider to cancel your escrow payment. If the provider will not cancel, then you should contact Tutorpit staff.

How do I deposit money to my account?
Login to your account. Click Deposit money. Follow instructions from there. We are currently accepting PayPal, Wired Transfer, Check and E-Gold.

How do I escrow money to a provider?
Login to your account. Click New escrow payment. Follow instructions from there. Please note that you must have money in your account before you can make an escrow payment.

SERVICE BUYER / PROJECTS

How can I ask a question before selecting a provider?
Please login and go to the public project page. Above the bids you will find a Message Board Link. Click on the link and post the private message for the user. Just mention the username in text box below message box.

How do I accept a bid from a service provider?
Login. Go to account Manage page. Pick service provider from there.

How do I cancel a project?
Contact Tutorpit support team for project cancellation.
How do I edit a project I already started?
Since providers base their bids on the project description, we don't allow changes on projects after bidding started. It's possible to add additional information. When you do this all providers who already made a bid will be notified.

SERVICE PROVIDERS (TEACHER)

How can I modify a bid which I've already submitted?
When you place a new bid on a project for which you have already placed a bid, your old bid will be deleted and the new one will be shown to the service buyer.

How do I deliver a project?
You may deliver a project anyway you like. Normally it's installed on the buyers server or it's sent to his email. This is something you and your buyer will have to decide. We suggest you make sure the money is in escrow at Tutorpit before you deliver your project.

How does this work for Service Providers?
It's easy. You register for an account. Read the projects and find one that fit your skills. You estimate and bid a fair amount to complete the project. If the Service Buyer pick you as the winner he will pay you that amount through Tutorpit.com at a time you both agree on in advance.

Can a service provider bid for free?
Yes, it's free to make a bid.

How do I make a bid?
Browse our projects. Select one that you wish to bid on. Click the Bid button above the bid listings. Enter your bid and comment. You might need to login if you're not logged in while doing this.

SERVICR PROVIDER / PAYMENTS


How do I cancel an escrow payment?
To cancel an escrow payment as a provider you login to Tutorpit , go to Manage Account page (Default Page), There you will find escrow payments. Choose correct one and cancel it. That's all!

In what ways can you send me my money?
We currently send out payments with PayPal. We plan to offer more options in the future.

Why is my withdrawal still in pending status?
Because it has not yet been processed. As soon as it's been processed you will be notified and we will remove the pending status.
